This tiny home needed an update.  2 bedroom with bathroom on main floor, crowded kitchen and congested living dining room needed some re-thinking. Utilizing the existing building with adjustments to all three floors provided adequate space to fit the family's needs without building an addition.

Fresh look

Tired looking suburban home needed a facelift.  Thee front porch and entry was congested and not functional as a sitting area.  We updated the look with contemporary materials and colours and opened the porch and entry.

Refreshed welcome

A cramped unprotected entry was expanded complete with small covered porch to welcome guests and and decongest the entry flow into the home. The side addition complements the existing home and allowed more space by moving the existing powder room and adding a mudroom for more storage on the main floor.  

Relocating the small main bathroom to the new addition allows for large 4 piece main bathroom and provided a second floor laundry space.

Sunroom Addition

Kawartha Cottage lacked entry space and a bug safe outdoor space.  We added a front entry and porch and a side screened in room off the kitchen and deck overlooking the lake. 

2018 Pine Point Rd. - Sunroom Additions

Kitchen update

This 1950's raised bungalow was passed on to a young couple who wanted a more open and contemporary look.  We reconfigured the interior only to update and open the space. Blended two of the three small bedrooms into a master suite.  The end result is a modern starter home. 

2021 St Augustine Dr - Reconfig home

Addition family room

This century home lacked gathering space for this growing family.  Adding this proportionate and bright main floor living area allowed for a cosy family space with access to the back yard.  A new mudroom provided access from the driveway separate from the living space and lots of storage space previously lacking. A full height basement added bright and separate space for teenagers.  Alterations to the kitchen nicely connected the old with the new spaces.

Frederick St Charm

This cute little home didn't have shaded outside space for the homeowners to enjoy the outdoors. We blended the style of the house by adding this front porch and a smaller door protection porch on the rear addition

2020 Frederick St. - Porch Charm

Open up

Existing 1920 home was limited in light and space with numerous walls breaking up the space.  We removed and altered the walls to create a open airy living room, dining room and modern kitchen space.

2015 Gregory St - Main Floor Reno

Patio entrance

This home had ample space but parts were dark and closed in by walls.  We opened up the wall between the living room and dining room and added a 2 way fireplace for an attractive focal point.

Unified additions

Original heritage home had a 'summer kitchen' addition at rear that was out of date and an awkward layout on 2nd floor without a master suite.  Planned addition for family room space and to a master suite, and reconfigure floor plans to and add a single car plus garage. 

Wellington St - Heritage Plus

New Portico

The client wanted a space to enjoy the neighbourhood and shelter over side door from rain and snow.  We added a new porch and awning and updated the finish materials for an entirely new updated look. 

Tolton Dr - Whole New Look

Large Family room

Originally a small bungalow cottage built in the 20's. Porches, rooms and additions have been stuck on and enclosed through the years.  The client bought with the plan to retire and wanted to upgrade to a full time family home. Opening up the existing spaces, reconfiguring the remaining spaces into more suitable bedrooms. Plan to open it up with the focus on the spectacular bay view and sunsets.

Numerous walls constricted natural light and the layout was inefficient.  We reconfigured the space to allow the existing window to brighten the space.
